Fresh finds for the season ahead
We share some decorating inspiration from a few of our favourite brands in the local design scene — from eye-catching seating and lighting to gorgeous décor accessories, we’ve got you covered.
South African interiors are increasingly defined by a thoughtful blend of local design and global influence — a mix that speaks to both heritage and our connection to the world. Tastemakers are seamlessly pairing expertly crafted, homegrown pieces with international design classics to create layered, textured spaces that feel grounded yet driven by wanderlust (even if only from your armchair). Whether it’s a hand-pinched ceramic bowl on a Scandinavian coffee table, or a Cape Dutch-inspired table setting under an Italian pendant light, the juxtaposition tells a story of place, identity, and connection. When we compiled this feature, we mostly focused on local design but added a sprinkling of global inspiration too. Enjoy!
